Hey, glad you found this place!
My name is Toon, you can call me Tunix, a Cloud & Cybersecurity student based in Belgium. I like building, breaking and fixing things.

As I mentioned I am a Cloud & Cybersecurity student, learning about different technologies of how the cloud works such as Docker, Kubernetes, AWS and more. On the other hand, getting into the mind of an attacker to better protect our precious data and systems. I would like to move more towards the cloud side of things, but am still learning and exploring. The different technologies that make up the internet have always fascinated me, and being allowed to learn about them in school is amazing.

When not busy with school, I spend a good chunk of my time fiddeling with hardware, mainly the repurposing of old devices for my homeserver. Getting handson experience with what you learned at school is the best feeling ever. It taught me that for example, you could easily template Dockerfiles for later use. As you can hear I am quite fond of anything virtualization too, as my homeserver runs proxmox.

Besides that I also like reading, both non-fictional and fictional. In this age of the internet (and especially AI) I think it is rather important to retain our cognitive abilities.

It has been a while since I did it, but I am quite fond of playing tabletop games like DnD or any kind of tabletop game, it helps pull me away from the screen, while keeping that fantasy alive.

As a student, I have joined SIN (Student Information Network), an on campus student association aimed at getting IT'ers together, this helps me put into practice what I learned in the classroom, with the material available on a campus.
